Inetplanet Policy

Free Web Site Hosting for Artists

A limited amount of web space on inetplanet.net will be given to Phoenix area artists, musicians, galleries, and art organizations. This is offered as a public service, free of charge to the artist, to encourage emerging artists and to help increase their visibility.

Each artist web site will be limited to one or two pages and generally to 20-30Mb of storage space. Inetplanet, LLC may choose to place advertising on the web pages.

Content:
Guest web sites will consist of a title page and a photo gallery. The title page should contain a short biographical sketch about the artist, contact information, and a link to other web pages the artist may already have. At the present time, Inetplanet, LLC will not support on-line purchasing of the artwork. If someone wants to buy your art, they will have to contact you directly.

Guest web sites will be constructed and maintained by Inetplanet, LLC free of charge. If you prefer to build your own web pages, or have a third party design you site, you may; however, no upload access (including ftp) will be offered to guest web site artists, so special arrangements will be necessary to transfer the data to our server.

How to Get Started:

  1. Document what you want on your title page. At a minimum, provide a few sentences about yourself, and your art. You should also provide a way for people to reach you (phone, email, US mail, etc.). You may list past and future art shows and dates if you wish, but frequent calendar changes are not supported.

  2. Gather up 10 to 15 (fewer is OK, too) digital photos of your work. If you have regular photographs, but no digital photos, you can mail them and they will be scanned. If you mail photos, make sure you have copies because they won't be sent back unless you provide self-addressed, stamped packaging. Since your digital photos are for web use, they don't have to be very high resolution. 72 dpi is sufficient. You want your web page to download quickly, and you don't want people to print and reproduce your art.

  3. Zip your files into a single file. If you don't know how to do this, you'll have to attach them to email one-by-one. Multiple attachments are slow to email, and your ISP may reject sending your mail if this size is too large.

  4. Choose a name for your site. Use no special characters or spaces. Examples: albertospaintings, fredsphotos, sculpturesbymary. Your website address will be under the inetplanet.net domain and will look like “http://www.inetplanet.net/sculpturebymary”.

  5. If you would like your own domain name, such as “myartpage.com”, we can set that up for about $30.

  6. Send your work to or mail it to:

3003 N. Central Ave., Ste. 103-353
